Ales of Scilly

Founded in 2001 by former teacher Mark Praeger. Generally only available on draught on the Scilly Isles, which can be reached by boat or helicpter from Penzance, or by aircraft from varous West Country airports. See www.scillyonline.co.uk for details. Regular outlets include the Mermaid, Hugh Town, St Mary’s and the New Inn, Tresco (although you will have to take another boat trip from St Mary’s to reach there). On the mainland, the beers have been known to be available at the Pirate Inn, Alverton, Penzance although that has changed hands and the beer range may have changed. One beer - Scuppered - is available bottled but we do not have details of current outlets.
