Free Belgian Beer Tasting

Details

Hey There

VERITAS is planning another big beer tasting Event, this time featuring some great Belgian beers. The weather is going to be great this Saturday so come down to the waterfront to taste some new beers that are some of the best in the world.

France is credited with being the guardian of great wine, it can be said that Belgium is the guardian of great beer. Beer has been made in Belgium since the Middle Ages. It is believed today that beer was brewed at some monasteries during this period. The Trappist monasteries that now brew beer in Belgium were occupied in the late 18th century primarily by monks fleeing the French Revolution. However, the first Trappist brewery in Belgium did not start operation until 10 December 1836, almost 50 years after the Revolution. That beer was exclusively for the monks and is described as "dark and sweet." The first recorded sale of beer (a brown beer) was on 1 June 1861.

We are planning on tasting the following beers for FREE!!!

Saison Dupont – Saison
Moinette Brune – Abbey Dubbel
Leffe Blond – Belgian Ale
Hoegarden – Belgian Wit
Gulden Draak – Belgian Strong Ale
Piraat – Belgian Strong Ale
Troubadour Obscura – Stout

So come down to the riverfront on a beautiful fall weekend.

See ya soon
