The event will feature live entertainment, beer specials, and an opportunity for guests to win or bid on tickets to the Michigan Brewers Guild Winter Beer Festival in Grand Rapids. A limited number of tickets will be auctioned off with 100% of proceeds going to benefit local and national charities, including Pints for Prostates.
Winter Beer Festival is 100% sold out, and the Guild has donated a small number of tickets to this effort to raise funds for charity.
Brewmaster Kevin Rodger will be brewing a special batch of commemorative beer out in the cold, with the assistance of members of the Kuhnhenn Guild of Brewers (KGB) Homebrew Club. This beer will cellar for a year, not being released until February 2012. Brewing starts at 1:00pm.
Liquid Table staff encourages guests to arrive early to mark the kickoff of the event with a “Tapping of the Mug,” as a 4-foot ice sculpture of a DBC mug is filled with beer and tapped like a keg for all to enjoy!
Live entertainment will be provided by The Muggs and The Wall Clocks.
Cost is $10.00. The price includes a commemorative pint glass with a complimentary fill of house beer, entry into the raffle to win Festival tickets and other prizes, and admission to the third floor of DBC, featuring local guest beers from Michigan breweries, live music, and food. House beers will be on special all day long.
