Flying Saucer Draught Emporium will host a beer dinner featuring Starr Hill Brewery on Wednesday, July 6 at 6 p.m. at its location at 111 10th Ave. South, Suite 310, with special guest Mark Thompson, Starr Hill founder and master brewer.

Flying Saucer will offer seven different Starr Hill beers paired with three food courses during the dinner, and Thompson will discuss each beer during the course of the meal. The menu will include a first course of brie with apricots and pita bread, which will be paired with Starr Hill’s The Love Hefeweizen and Lucy Spiced Golden Ale; the second course will include a pork tenderloin roulade and will be served alongside Jomo Lage and Festie Amber Lager; and a dessert of caramel apple tart will be paired with Starr Hill’s Dark Starr Stout, Northern Lights IPA and Double Platinum Imperial IPA for the final course.

Admission is $30 for U.F.O. members and $35 for non-members. The event is sure to reach capacity, so customers are urged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased at Flying Saucer’s location at 111 10th Ave. South, Suite 310, or by calling 615-259-3039.
