The Sour Session: Volume 1
Tuesday night brings a new occasional feature here at ChurchKey: The Sour Session. Our Beer Director and his bee- crazy staff have more than a penchant for sour ales, and their passion means that a slew of these tart & funky brews find their way into the bar and restaurant with great frequency...
So we are stashing away some of our coolest, rarest and most exquisite wild beers for occasional Sour Sessions that will unleash a host of living brews on Washington, DC en masse!
Volume 1 in the series will find no fewer than 10 funky drafts gracing our taps, with such beauties as Stillwater Premium, (4.5% Saison brewed with barley malt, corn, and rice then spiked with 2 strains of Brettanomyces) and Malthus Baluba: ZYMATORE (Italian Brown brewed w/ fruits then aged in oak barrels that held Ransom Pinot Noir & Whiskey) as well as tí Gaverhopke Singing Blonde, Bayerischer Bahnhof Porticus, and Dofish Head Noble Rot & New Belgium Biere de Mars (2 brand new American Sours).
So...if you love funky craft beer, you should head over for some of this!
There is no admission fee for this event and all Sour Session drafts will be priced individually in 4 oz. tasters and full glass pours.
