In 2012 Herefordshire CAMRA presents Beer on the Wye for its eighth consecutive year. Over 140 beers, plus 120 ciders and perries will all star in one grand big top-style marquee, pitched in a delightful riverside meadow right in the historic heart of Hereford. The location must be one of the most atmospheric for any beer festival in the UK. If you haven’t been before, then we think you’re in for a treat at our ‘friendly festival down by the river’.
Beer on the Wye VIII will showcase over 140 different real beers from breweries the length and breadth of the UK, with styles ranging from light ales to stouts; from lagers to dark milds, and probably everything in between. Download List
The Foreign Beers Bar will again offer over 40 eclectic and interesting beers from overseas, for those with more international tastes.
It may be called Beeron the Wye, but an undoubted highlight of will again be the Cider Bar. This will feature 120 different ciders and perries - all from local Herefordshire producers.
Oce again, we will be selling all the beers and ciders in third-pint measures, as well as the normal halves and pints. This means you can try more of them without having to spend any more money. Not bad, in these cash-strapped times!
