Celebrate Belgian National Day at Bier Markt with Belgium brews; July 21st Saturday Night in Toronto, come celebrate Belgium’s birthday! The restaurant is encouraging people to go behind the bar and practice the art of pouring three of Belgium’s most iconic beers including Stella Artois Lager, Hoegaarden White Ale and Leffe Blond Abbey Ale.
On Belgian National Day, guests will have the unique chance to master pouring rituals such as ‘purifying’ of the glassware, ‘sacrificing’ of the first beer poured from the tap to the ‘beheading’ of the beer for the ideal head of foam. During the festivities, guests can also enjoy delicious Belgian-inspired cuisine and live entertainment.
What: For $4 per person per 33cl pour, guests can go behind a unique, portable bar to learn the multi-step Belgian Pouring Rituals for each of Belgium’s three most iconic brews. Based on a first come, first serve basis, guests will be able to keep their glass once they’ve mastered the art of the perfect Belgian pour. Festivities for the night also include complementary Belgian-style hors d’oevures and entertainment with a DJ and sax player.
