ChurchKey Launches Flying Dog’s Old Bay Gose!

Gose, that old school Germanic tart wheat ale, brewed with salt and spiced with coriander, has always been one of our favorite summer styles...so you can imagine our excitement when we heard that Flying Dog’s interpretation was ready, and that we were the place where it would flow for the very 1st time in the District!

Flying Dog offers a unique, and locally-inspired take on Gose, True to its home base in Maryland, Flying Dog seasons not just with coriander, but with Old Bay, the classic local accompaniment to crabs. They have kept the brew acidic and lower in alcohol--quite sessionable at 4.7%--but have thrown in a bit of rye to accentuate the mild spice of the Old Bay...it promises to be delicious...and to compliment BBCK Executive Chef Kyle Bailey’s scrumptious Brandade Buttons: creamy, whipped salt cod, potato and olive oil...delicately fried!

For good measure, and in case anyone is till pining for IPA Day just passed, we will have Flying Dog Single Hop Imperial IPA Citra on Cask, plus Flying Dog Single Hop Imperial IPA Chinook on draft!

No admission charge for this event and all Flying Dog brews will be priced individually in 4 oz.tasters and full glass pours.
