Flying Saucer Draught Emporium will host a beer dinner with Maui Brewing Company on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at its 14999 Montfort Dr. location, with special guest Garrett Marrero, owner of the brewery.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Marrero, who will lead them through the various courses of the night. He also will be on hand before and after the event to speak with the evening’s guests.

Maui will serve five different beers during the evening, beginning with a “social beer,” which will be Maui Big Swell IPA. The remaining brews will each be paired with a food course designed to highlight the flavors of the different beers. The first course of the evening will be bourbon and cola-spiked ham with curried pineapple, paired with Maui’s Mana Wheat, which is brewed with fresh local Maui Gold pineapple. The second course will feature lobster and coconut bisque, paired with Maui La Perouse White, a Belgian-style witbier. Diners will then be treated to Maui’s Sobrehumano Palena’ole, a red fruit ale, paired with kalua-style roasted boar with macadamia nut pesto, Napa cabbage slaw and sweet potatoes. Finally, a dessert of coffee-infused chocolate mousse will be served alongside Maui’s Coconut Porter.

Tickets for the event are $40 for U.F.O. Club members and $45 for non-members. They can be purchased by calling 972-991-7093 or in person at the Saucer.
