The Big Black Beer Bash was started by Drew Huerter (of Mattingly’s, Schlafly, and now of Deep Ellum in Dallas). Its a get together of beer loving people, especially ones that love stouts, porters, and any other big black beer you can find, to share beers that are just too big and bad for you to drink by yourself. Its always been during the armpit of winter, at the end of January, its always drawn a solid group of people, and an outstanding selection of beers to share, try, and talk about.
