The Staten Island Brewfest is the original and definitive Beer Festival for New York City’s most picturesque borough! We’re once again bringing quality craft brewers from all over the country right to our neck of the woods, with a special emphasis on our local New York State brewers! We continue to be hands-down the BEST VALUE of any craft brew fest in the entire Tri-State area!!! Once again, look for many one-off, small batch, collaboration, and otherwise amazing limited-release beers!

A quick (and free!) ferry ride from Manhattan, the SIBF2013 will also feature historical exhibits on loan from the Staten Island Museum detailing the borough’s once-proud brewing tradition. We’ll have fabulous food, great music, and another great feature will once again be our Homebrewers Pavilion, where homebrewers can display their wares, offer samples, and trade secrets (and beer) with some of their peers! In addition to a star-studded celebrity judging panel who will be awarding prizes to our beloved homebrewers, for the first time this year we will also be having a new “Audience Prize”, so that YOU, the festival attendees, will have an important vote as well! Did we say the borough’s brewing tradition was “once-proud”? Well if our homebrewers bring what they brought last time, you’ll see that the future of brewing on Staten Island is bright once again!

In the wake of the devastation from Hurricane Sandy across the region and specific to our borough, SIBF is proud to announce that we are donating a portion of our proceeds to help affected families right here on the Island. Additionally, anyone who brings and donates an item the day of the fest from our local “Still Needs” list will be given exclusive access to our “VIP beers” available only to those helping out! Furthermore we’re thrilled to announce we’ll be working with a LOCAL charity, the renowned Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation, so that whatever we raise and collect can get to those who need it quickest, with the minimal amount of “red tape”!

Lastly, we’re happy and excited to announce that the Brewfest will once again be providing FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE from the festival to and from the Great Kills Train Station. So whether you’re coming by Ferry and taking Staten Island Rapid Transit, or you live on the island and are doing the responsible thing and taking public transportation, we’ve got you covered with door-to-door service from the train station to the Fest! The Fest this year will at the spacious grounds and parking lot of Dugout Pub South, located right in Great Kills at the corner of Hylan Blvd. and Nelson Ave, just a few blocks from the train station! So even though it’s just a short two-minute bus ride, why exercise unnecessarily? : )

To avoid crazy lines, and better ensure every attendee gets to sample every single delicious beer, there will once again be two distinct sessions, early and late, each with an extremely limited 300 tickets. So rally your friends, choose your session, and come on out to SIBF2013 and enjoy some great beer!
