Sunday Funday Brew Year’s Eve

Alchemy Tavern7 South Joachim St
Mobile, AL, USA 36603
Help us celebrate the repeal of the Volstead Act. On April 7th, 1933 the National Prohibition Act, known informally as the Volstead Act was repealed allowing the legal ABV (alcohol by volume) limit to be raised from .05% to 3.2 percent allowing for our beloved Hops to be Freed the first time. We still have a long way to go in Alabama. Lucky for us we have groups like Free the Hops and Right to Brew continuing to fight to End Prohibition. https://www.facebook.com/NewBeersEveOfficial
Collins will be behind the bar in the Tavern and will have beer specials all night!!!!

Right to Brew
To legalize homebrewing and home winemaking in the state of Alabama, so that the thousands of homebrewers here may enjoy their hobby without fear of prosecution.
Who Are We?
A grassroots effort of regular, every-day Alabama citizens. We are homebrewers who are navigating the complicated Legislative Process.
What Will We Gain?
Nothing except the freedom to engage in a hobby enjoyed legally in 48 other states. Legalizing homebrewing will not result in financial profit to any of us, only the elimination of the threat of losing jobs and homes after a felony prosecution. http://www.alahomebrewing.org/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alabama-Homebrewers-Right-to-Brew/233531956681605
Free the Hops
Free The Hops Alabamians For Specialty Beer (FTH) is a grassroots, non-profit organization whose mission is to help bring the highest quality beers in the world to Alabama. We are motivated by a desire to have the same variety of choice when purchasing beer that Alabama citizens already enjoy when purchasing wine.
Started in 2004 by Alabamians with no ties to any alcoholic beverage business, FTH was incorporated later that year and registered as an official 501(c)(6) non-profit in 2007. (Membership fees and donations given to Free the Hops are not tax deductible.) None of our members make any money off the grassroots effort.
