The Brews of Brouwerij Van Eecke: 5 Delicious Belgian Drafts + Meet & Greet w/ Export Manager Danny Dieussaert!
This coming Thursday night, we welcome Danny Dieussaert, Export Manager for Brouwerij Van Eeacke, to ChurchKey for a very special meet and greet. Danny is a fantastic guy and an outstanding ambassador for all things Belgian beer…and he happens to represent a classic Belgian brewery that produces exceptional ales and lagers!
The Brouwerij Van Eecke traces its heritage back to the 17th century in West Flanders, and—more recently—has branched out to include two distinct breweries: one in Watou (officially known as Brouwerij Van Eecke) and the other in Boezinge (operated under the Brouwerij Het Sas moniker). Still family-owned, the 7th generation now operates the brewery, led by Philip and Hendrik Leroy.
On this evening, we will be pouring Paulus, a balanced take on the classic Flemish Oud Bruin style (and a beer imported exclusively for ChurchKey on draft), Poperings Hommel Ale, well-hopped with the famous local hops of Poperinge, a vintage keg of Het Kapittel Prior, a Belgian Strong Dark Ale brewed as an homage to the monastic ales of Belgium, Christmas Leroy, a rare holiday brew from this past year, and Sas Pils, one of the most popular lagers found throughout West Flanders and Northern France.
This event officially begins at 6 PM!
