The Perennial Artisan Ales Beer & Food Experience

One of the most exciting new American Craft Brewers, Perennial Artisan Ales out of St. Louis, Missouri, has quickly become a favorite here at Birch & Barley/ ChurchKey ever since we launched them for the DC area back in March of 2013. In the meantime, we have been plotting a beer dinner that would eventually marry the food-friendly character of Perennial’s ales and the beer-forward cuisine of our Executive Chef Kyle Bailey and Pastry Chef Tiffany MacIsaac...

DC Beer Week 2013 seemed the perfect time for such a feast.

On Monday, August 12th, beginning at 7 PM, we will host the Perennial Artisan Ales Beer & Food Experience, pairing 6 delicious and rare Perennial brews with 4 exquisite courses crafted by our kitchen team. Perennial Brewmaster & Founder Phil Wymore will be on hand, introducing each brew and regaling our guests with the story of his outstanding brewery. You do not want to miss this dinner...call Birch & Barley now to reserve (202-567-2576)!

While the food portion of the menu is still being determined, we know that the following beers are being specially sent just for this dinner:

Perennial BA Abraxas: Spiced Imperial Stout aged Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey barrels w/ cacao nibs, ancho cilies, vanilla beans & cinnamon
Perennial & Hopleaf Tart Hopfentea: Berliner Weisse collaboration w/ papaya & mango
Perennial 100% Brett Saison: Saison fermented solely w/ Brettanomyces
Perennial Woodside: Tripel fermented w/ Honey from Woodside Urban Honey
Perennial Kriek: Perennial’s take on wild, Cherry-infused Lambic
Perennial & Deschutes Recital Belgian IPA: collaborative hopped-up Belgian-style ale

Tickets for the dinner are $60, exclusive of tax & gratuity. Reservations are available by calling Birch & Barley at 202-567-2576.
