Copenhagen, Denmark (July 29, 2013) Event: Danish pig celebrated with food, craft beer, art, photography and film. If you are in Copenhagen in the end of August for the food festival don’t miss out.

Our Danish Pig is a comprehensive food and beer dinner party, art and photography exhibition that celebrates the Danish pig. Strong names are behind the menu, in addition to the food craft beer masters Mikkeller, art, film and photo and various surprises along the way.

Chinorocks & Joachim7inch normally works on projects with niche brands in fashion and design - but right now it is all about their Danish pig and to make this work they have challenged a bunch of creatives: "We basically got 8 pigs on a farm where 4 of them has a normal organic pig life routine, where as their 4 sisters are in a forest living of organic fodder and beer from our friends at Mikkeller. Then we get all of these creatives to basically do what they do with our pigs in mind and then we’ll have a dinner over 3 days over one long table".

Pig and beer is on the menu - including the creative’s
it is Douglas McMaster, The King of Waste, who will create a tasting menu, based on 8 organic pigs from Risbjerg Agriculture, who are partners for the purpose. Mikkeller Beer are providing beer for the pigs as a supplement diet as well for the dinner, one of the world’s leading craft beer makers. In addition, various photographers and artists will give their interpretations of the Danish pig. Among other contributing is Parisian artist, Chanoir whom normally paints cats, but especially for this event has agreed to work with pigs as a motif. Portraits of the pigs will be exhibited, and a short film surprise by filmmaker Fenar Ahmad, who has chosen a given day to celebrate the pig.

In the weeks leading up to, during and after the event you can keep yourself updated with pig facts, short videos with all of those involved in their preparations for the event, on the various social platforms for Our Danish Pig.

The event takes place on 01-03 September 2013 and will take place in the venue of the team behind Pixie and Taxi’s establishment Olsen +3 in Copenhagen.

On each day the event time is 1830-? we guess until we run out of pig and beer.
