Announcing Distillery Lane Ciderwork’s First Annual “It’s All About the Apples” Festival on Saturday, October 12 from 10:00am to 5:00pm! Come join us explore:
Why apples grow well on our farm (soils and geology);
How our orchard was planned and planted to produce the unique variety of fruit needed to produce our international award-winning hard ciders;
Why one apple is great for hard cider and another for pie;
What is the role of the honey bee in the orchard;
Cooking and baking with DLC apples and cider
Cider and food pairings.
We will be featuring 10 hard ciders and re-introducing our fabulous sparkling Kingston Black. Hard cider tastings will be available all day to our visitors over 21. We will also provide fresh cider samples and tastings of dozens of varieties of apples grown here. We welcome back the Carnivore BBQ Food Truck ( http://carnbbq.com) for the perfect complement to our apples and cider. While drinking cider and enjoying delicious BBQ, you can enjoy local musicians sharing their original tunes, an orchard tour, beekeeping demonstrations, and cooking with apples presentations throughout the day. There is no charge for admission or parking. Please see our website, www.distillerylaneciderworks.com, for more information, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
