HopCat GR will be hosting it’s annual birthday party for the founder of Short’s Brewing Company, Joe Short. To celebrate his 35th birthday, Joe and his crew will be coming down from Bellaire, MI with 35 Short’s drafts. The list includes:

1. Brambling Martian - A heavily hopped ale brewed exclusively with Brambling Cross and Admiral English hop varieties. 4.4%
2. Walking Red - A deep red English Ale brewed with vanilla. 5.3%
3. Black Cherry Porter - Brewed with hundreds of pounds of sweet black cherries, eight different malts, and three varieties of hops. 7%
4. Bloody Beer - A lighter bodied beer fermented with Roma tomatoes and spiced with dill, horseradish, peppercorns, and celery seed. 7%
5. Raisin Apollo - A big bodied double IPA fermented with golden raisins. 9%
6. Pineapple Pilsner - A refreshing American Pilsner with and exotic twist of pineapple. 6.7%
7. Earl of Brixom - English Dark Mild Ale. 3.9%
8. Kind Ale – An Wet-Hopped Pale Ale brewed with hops straight from the fields on Leelanau Peninsula to the kettle. 5.5%
