RateBeer New England Meetup 2014
Thanks Reynolds314, Ernesto and WillRunForBeer for kicking things off and wrangling us all together. Huge thanks to everyone for their planning efforts. AirForceHops booked the bottle-share location as well!
Details below are subject to change w/ inputs from attendees
-Discussion Thread for this Event http://www.ratebeer.com/forums/new-england-ratebeer-meetup_250180.htm
-Bottle Share Signup (Thanks RadarSock) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj0mpJIZP9G9dHNEUEJleXg0T3F4ZVE4Q1hoLTRpMWc#gid=0
-Day-Time: Attendees can visit local stores, breweries and see sights. Hunger Mountain, Craft Beer Cellar, Rock Art, Lost Nation, Hill Farmstead are all great places to visit.
-Mid-Afternoon: Meet at Prohibition Pig @ 3PM Have Food upstairs in their íboard roomí and enjoy beers on draft or bottles. Very low-key chill event. Prohibition Pig has donated this room to us for the afternoon, we need an exact head count before the event and capacity of the room is 30 people.
-Evening: (7-9PM) We can go to bars (Reservoir or Blackback Pub) or everyone can take a break and chill out, go shopping, etc. Three Penny is in Montpelier 15 minutes south.
-Bottle Share: We have the room at 9PM till Midnight. The cost was $95 for the conference room. Please bring cash to contribute to AirForceHops who covered this. This is the only required expense. There will likely be a group effort of ordering some food to the room which people can chip in on if needed.
Event Goal & Extra Info:
This is a community effort not endorsed by RateBeerís managers. There are no requirements to bring special beers or pony up cash for food, bottles ordered, etc unless you partake in those sharing of resources. The only requirement is bottle share attendees chipping in to cover the $95 room rental fee. The schedule is not set in stone for day-time activities. The goal is that we all have a great time and meet our fellow Ratebeerians in a positive setting. Obviously, you need to be 21 if youíre going to partake in drinking.
Please RSVP by March 1st and tell your friends about this event. It would be great to have enough people that we can do this again.
A note on cost! Prohibition Pig quoted us $30 per person for platters of meat & sides with bread and non-alcohol refreshments. Iím putting the full guarantee on my card for the headcount which is currently 20 people. We have space for 30 people and if 15 of the 20 people show up, Iím out $150. So if you RSVPed let me know if youíre NOT coming to the 3PM lunch. If you are, please bring $30 cash for food + $10 for AirForceHops for him renting the room for us. right now, Iíve told Pro-Pig 20 people coming, if I need to drop that, I have to do so by March 12th.
$10 - $40 Per Person.http://www.ratebeer.com/forums/new-england-ratebeer-meetup_250180.htm
