The menu from Fiveís chef and owner Anthony Devoti begins with Welsh rarebit accompanied by Perennialís Saison De Lis, a Belgian-style saison. The second course is a Caesar salad paired with Hereafter, a Belgian strong golden ale brewed in collaboration with Penrose Brewing of Geneva, Ill.
The third course features a hickory-smoked trout cake with daikon kimchi; the beer is Black Walnut Dunkel, a German-style dunkelweisse. The main course is Devotiís legendary hamburger, which is accompanied by Perennialís Vermillion, a barleywine.
Dessert is bread pudding in a chocolate-pecan sauce. The beer pairing, is the acclaimed cacao- and chile-spiked imperial stout Abraxas.
