This festival is like one stop shopping for awesome regional craft beer. Now in itís third year - the Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza - is expanding to Johnson Cityís Millennium Center to accommodate the 100+ beers it has to offer.
Youíll find craft beer from breweries around the southeast and be prepared to be surprised with unique offerings you wonít find anywhere else. Festival organizers work with brewers to bring specially commissioned beers for the festival.
Special commissioned casks will be on hand throughout the day, bringing you rare, unique and obscure beers you wonít be able to find anywhere else.
The Thirsty Orange is also home to the Tennessee Iron Brewer Challenge. Brewerís receive a set bill of grains and add a secret ingredient while competing for the title of the Tennessee Iron Brewer. In addition, the Thirsty Orange Brew Off will offer many unique types of beers made just for the Brew Extravaganza.
The Big Orange Mixology Station will give participants their beer, their way with chocolate shavings, boba balls and more. In addition, there will be mobile infusers adding deliciousness to your beer ranging from Mango to Pecan Pie.
The Beer City Hula Girls will be on hand along with beats from DJ Allen Rockhouse. In the morning, donít forget to participate in the Run for the Booty - 5k Color Run. During the festival, there will be restaurants and great food available throughout the day.
And last but not least, Donkey Poolette will be at the Brew Extravaganza. As a wise man once said. Stay Thirsty..........
