HopCat GR25 Ionia Ave. SW

On Wednesday, February 19, HopCat GR will host a six tap event featuring six beers from Tapistry Brewing Co. out of Bridgman, MI. On draft all day will be:
Houblon D’or – Belgian-Style Golden Ale – 4.7%
A sensational golden hue, this Belgian pale ale that has been hopped exclusively with Czech Saaz for an earthy, grassy hop finish. This beer is one of the pub’s favorites. It’s light, refreshing and extremely easy to drink.
Drifter In The Dark – American Sweet Stout – 4.7%
Dark. Smooth. Sweet. It’s the Jamaal Cannon of beers. What more do you need to know?
Bee-Town Brown – English-Style Honey Brown Ale – 4.8%
A lot of buzz around the brewery, and a lot more buzzing in the beer. And they’re all a little nutty.
Burn The Witch – Doppelbock – 8.7%
This devilish weizenbock is stronger than it appears and is the third installment in Tapistry’s Hansel and Gretel beer series. This is one is a wicked ale with notes of banana and dates. This beer is so strong you should consider leaving a trail of bread crumbs in case you forget your way home.
Sixteen Tons – American Barleywine – 9.0%
“Some people say a man is made outta mud
A poor man’s made outta muscle and blood
Muscle and blood and skin and bones
A mind that’s a-weak and a back that’s strong”
If you understand these lines, this beer is for you.
Enigma – American Double IPA w/ peppers – 9.8%
Say hello to Enigma, a mysterious Double IPA with a twist. Brewed with five different malts, four different hops, a healthy dose of brown sugar, and somewhere between a pinch and a pound of peppers, Enigma is the strongest beer on this list. Surprisingly dry, it’s a high-intensity brew that will puzzle your pallet. You’ll just have to drink one to understand.
The beers are on from open until they last. Come on down and try a few. Or all of them. We don’t judge.Cost: http://hopcatgr.com
