SweetWater Meet & Greet with Head Brewer James “Nick” Nock – 5 SweetWater Brews in All!

Join us next Thursday as we welcome James “Nick” Nock, Head Brewer of SweetWater Brewing Company to ChurchKey! This is a wonderful occasion to talk shop with the Head Brewer of one of the biggest craft breweries in the Southeast region.

Nick did not have any formal training when he picked up homebrewing many years ago, but he’s been an integral member of the SweetWater team when he joined them in 1996. He has since worked his way from filling and delivering kegs in the early days all the way up to running the flourishing operation of over 100,000 barrels per year. With the brewery’s recent expansion, Nick plans to hit 400,000 barrels one day soon...

For this event, we’ll have some mainstays on draft such as 420 Pale Ale, IPA, Blue (a fruit beer with blueberries), and we’ll also have a couple rarely seen offerings in Georgia Brown Ale and Waterkeeper Hefeweizen. SweetWater brews Waterkeeper Hefeweizen each year to raise money for local Waterkeepers. SweetWater’s Save Our Water campaign and the money raised will be given directly to the Potomac Waterkeeper. Last year, SweetWater raised over $200,000 and is looking to hit $300,000 this year!

There is no admission for this event and all SweetWater Drafts will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. pours.
