The cries of prost once again herald the arrival of Anacortes Bier on the Pier! A two-day extravaganza of bier, food and music!
So don your dirndl or lederhosen, bring your thirst for beer, leave room for brats and enjoy the smorgasbord of all the tasty foods located in two festival food tents on the pier.
A new and exciting feature this year is the “Hoppin’ on the Water” Bier on the Pier commercial contest in partnership with GoSkagit.com. This contest will play out over the next few months on GoSkagit and Anacortes Bier on the Pier’s facebook pages. Fans of Bier on the Pier will produce a 30 second commercial keeping the theme “Hoppin on the Water” in consideration. Fans will upload their commercial to the GoSkagit page and vote on their favorite. The winner of the contest announced in September will win ten two day tickets, hotel accommodations and their commercial will be featured on all Washington State Ferries as part of our 2015 Bier on the Pier campaign and more! 2014 Anacortes Bier on the Pier will offer visitors the opportunity to enter the event beginning Friday evening from 5pm-9pm, and return on Saturday 12pm-6pm to finish the tour they embarked upon the night before. Come spend the week-end in beautiful Anacortes, bier festival hot deals are available from our website at www.anacortes.org.
Festivities kick off Friday, October 3, 2014: 5:00pm to 9pm.
Saturday, October 4, 2014: 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.
The event will be held at the Old Port Warehouse located at 1st & Commercial, in downtown Anacortes allowing for spectacular views overlooking the Guemes Channel and Mount Baker.
30 Breweries, costume & yodeling contests, live music, yummy food, and fun! fun! fun! Oh and did we mention beer?
Tickets $20 advance, $25 door. $35 two-day pass, $45 door. Designated drivers get in free. Must be 21+.
