Zwanze Day 2014 at ChurchKey!

We are once again honored to host Cantillon Zwanze Day at Churchkey
for 2014! The big event will take place this year on Saturday,
September 20th, and we have an amazing lineup in store...

The most anticipated will be Zwanze 2014, aka "Cuvée Florian", and
this keg will be tapped simultaneously around the world--at 3 pm EST
(9 pm in Brussels)--in honor of Brasserie Cantillon and the art of
traditional Lambic. This year’s brew is a blend of a less fruited
Cantillon Kriek (aged on roughly 40% less cherry fruit than the
standard brew), and Iris Grand Cru, the all barley-malt Lambic aged
for three years in 400-liter casks; the resulting blend has then been
finished with a touch of Bramling Cross dry-hopping. This beer was
initially crafted as a one-off for Florian Van Roy, the son of
Cantillon owner Jean Van Roy, on the occasion of his 18th birthday,
and is just so delicious that it will see a much wider release as the
official Zwanze 2014 Lambic.

Though we will not be officially pouring Zwanze 2014 until 3 PM--as we
share in a worldwide toast with all of the other Zwanze Day breweries,
bars and bottle shops--we will be preselling tickets for pours of
Zwanze 2014 right when we open at 12PM. Do try to get to ChurchKey as
close to our opening time as possible...we anticipate huge crowds, and
want to be sure that the first to arrive get to taste Zwanze 2014. All
those with Zwanze 2014 tickets will get to taste this delicious rarity
once the keg is tapped at 3PM.

And there are plenty more reasons to arrive at 12 pm when we open. In
addition to purchasing Zwanze 2014 tickets beginning at noon, we will
be pouring the following Cantillon Lambics on DRAFT right from our
opening at 12 PM:

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise
Rosé de Gambrinus
Classic Gueuze

Zwanze Day 2014 Notes:
ChurchKey opens on Saturday, September 20th at 12 pm, and all of the
Cantillon drafts--except for Zwanze--will be available for purchase
and tasting right when we open at noon. We will be be preseilling
tasting pours of Zwanze at noon as well, with the beer being
distributed for tasting at 3pm, following the worldwide toast.
