Iconic Czech Brewmaster Vaclav Berka at Stanton Street Kitchen

Details

Once a year, Czech brewmaster Vaclav Berka tours the United States—and this year, he will be hosting an exclusive brewer’s dinner featuring a rare, limited edition of unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell at New York City’s Stanton Street Kitchen on Tuesday, May 26th at 7pm. Berka, along with Master Bartender Brian Panzica, will take guests on a beer journey through the history of the Pilsner style. The duo will pour their brew three ways: Hiladinka (smooth, less carbonated, foam first), Na Dvakrat (crisp, bubbly, slowly sipped) and Mleko (sweet, all-foam, creamy).
Each beer course will accompany Chef Erik Blauberg’s international cuisine, to present a special sensory and sensational dining experience.

Chef Blauberg will deliver a five-course culinary adventure ($75), where the full-flavored nature of the beer will shine along with robust dishes that would otherwise overpower most lagers.

Dishes include Truffle Crusted Rouget Barbet with potato puree, baby clams, oceanic bouillon and Pappardelle Pasta Florio with braised oxtail, wilted spinach, and fava beans. White Trash will be served for dessert; it’s made with Valrhona white chocolate encased in a dark chocolate ‘trash bag’ filled with fresh raspberries and raspberry sauce.

There is limited seating for this special one-time event. For reservations call 917-963-6000 or book online [email protected].

Cost: $75.00
