When we learned two of our favorite breweries, and great friends, Oxbow and Perennial, were collaborating on a beer, we couldn’t have been more excited. We were equally psyched when they asked us to host the official DC launch for this special brew.

Join us on Friday, February 12th as we celebrate the release of Return of the Max, a special blend of Perennial Foedre Saison and a variety of carefully selected Oxbow barrel-aged farmhouse ales. Perennial founders Phil and Emily Wymore will be joined in attendance by Oxbow founder Tim Adams and Sales Director Greg Jasgur.

For this special occasion, Oxbow has sent a plethora of special kegs, many of which are rarely seen in DC. The list includes Momoko, a barrel-aged Saison with peaches; Mr. Sparkle, a mildly tart mixed-fermentation Belgian table beer; and Funkhaus, an amped-up version of Oxbow Farmhouse Pale Ale spiked with Brettanomyces.

Not to be outdone, Perennial is bringing a slew of rare and remarkable brews, including Anniversaria 2014, a Belgian Strong Ale fermented with Brettanomyces, blended using the Solera system; Savant Blanc, a Belgian Blonde Ale fermented with Brettanomyces and aged five months in Chardonnay barrels with Chardonel grapes; and Owen, a gently hopped Saison with Mosaic hops and conditioned with Brett Drie.

There is no admission fee for this event and all Oxbow and Perennial drafts will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. pours.
