New Belgium celebrates its 25th anniversary with the release of five collaboration beers reinterpreting their iconic flagship, Fat Tire Amber Ale. Fat Tire was conceived in the late 1980s during a bike ride through Belgium!

In the years following, New Belgium has become the 4th-largest craft brewery in the country.

They’ve teamed up with Allagash Brewing, Avery Brewing, Firestone Walker, Hopworks Urban Brewery, and Rhinegeist Brewery to put their creative spin and influence on Fat Tire.

This event will serve as the DC debut of these beers, with all 5 available in bottle pours!

The versions:
Allagash Fat Funk Ale
Fat Tire with Belgian yeast sourced from the Poperinge region and Brettanomyces

Avery Fat Wild Ale
Fat Tire with a fruitier hop bill and a dose of Brettanomyces

Firestone Walker Fat Hoppy Ale
A West Coast interpretation of Fat Tire with an assertive hop profile and a light lager yeast

Hopworks Urban Brewery Fat Sour Apple Ale
Fat Tire with apple and lactobacillus to highlight the green apple snap in Fat Tire

Rhinegeist Fat Pale Ale
Transformed into a Belgian Extra Pale Ale with a fruity Belgian yeast strain and bready European and Colorado malts

In addition to the collaboration beers, we’ll be pouring a full list from all
6 breweries including the out-of-market Rhinegeist and Hopworks Urban Brewery!
