% of Breweries Tasted per State

Message Jow P beers 7343 º places 487 º 07:49 Thu 8/11/2016 So based on the Blind IPA thread i was looking into Prison City Brewing and I noticed how many NY breweries are up there that I’ll probably never try. So I compiled a list of each state with the user whose tried the most breweries from there and sorted by %. If you’ve had beer from a closed brewery that’s how you can get over 100%. User # is number of breweries they’ve had beer from in that state and State # is number of current active breweries in our database. Message Jow P beers 7343 º places 487 º 08:08 Thu 8/11/2016 In case my babbbling didn’t make sense at top of list Travlr (top rater of DC breweries) has had beers from 13 DC breweries of which there are 12 active aka 108% and at bottom of list Lubiere (the top rater of NY breweries) has had beers from 141 NY breweries of which there is 298 active at only 47%.

Message rennat42 P beers 5357 º places 205 º 08:56 Thu 8/11/2016 Travlr has 1 up on me for Nebraska. At the end of the month I will knock off another 4-5 for Nebraska and move ahead of him. Might be the only time in my life I overtake Gene in a beer related statistic! We also have 7 more breweries slated to open by spring of 2017. I think that’s my goal for next year. Visit all (soon to be 42) breweries in Nebraska.

I had to go to Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota etc because it’s hard to find those beers outside those states
Message Travlr beers 33887 º places 4583 º 10:58 Thu 8/11/2016 I love this stat, and not because I’m mentioned so many times, but because it’s an incentive to travl and try beers on their home territory! And DC is easiest because it’s so small. All breweries are less than a 10 minute drive from my house, and with Uber/Lyft all can be visited in one (long) day.
