Illinois and Pedo State generally "run" the B1G in gymnastics tho.. pretty sure both men and womens.

One night I drank a little too much coffee and had no reason to wake up early the next morning, so I dug into the rivals database of football recruits in the 2015 class. Obviously, my point was to illustrate how little in-state football talent WVU has to draw from each year, but I think everyone’s college state is represented here. Some pretty cool and surprising numbers, especially when it comes to California vs Florida vs Texas, the three states that have the most available high school football talent each recruiting cycle. They are also our country’s 3 most populous states. What I didn’t include, but probably should have, were the actual estimated populations of those 3 states for the purpose of illustrating which state has the most athletes per capita. Here are their most recent population estimates. California - 38,802,500 Texas - 26,956,958 Florida - 19,893,297 I totally forgot to include New York on the chart. Being a Syracuse fan, Shawn might be interested in that info., so I’ll throw that together real quick. Also, New York is our country’s 4th most populous state. New York - 19,746,227 5-Stars = 0 4-Stars = 2 3-Stars = 21 2-Stars = 26 The low numbers for New York don’t surprise me. I spent three years in the NYC public school system, two of them being high school years, and I can tell you that no one in that city gives a shit about high school or college football. I’m not sure that either of the two high schools I attended even had teams... and they were BIG schools. Around 3,000 students each. Looks like I also forgot South Carolina, but I don’t care enough to mess with this stuff anymore. Besides, where have our two Gamecocks been anyway? What happened? Carolina doesn’t win 11 games for a 4th year in-a-row and they jump ship? I put stuff like this together just for shits, so check it out or ignore it. It doesn’t matter. :-)
