$50 beers that resell/trade for $500. We are currently in a great time for beer but it’s rough on your pocket if you’re trying to catch all the brews. Beer can be the new wine if it wants but I’m going to drink wine at that price point. |
I just bought a 6’er of Expedition Stout for 16 dollars. 6 bottles of REALLY good beer for less than 3 dollars a bottle. |
Except prices have pretty much stopped going up in the past two years. 750s hit $25 and then pretty much just stopped. There are some $30 bottles out there, but they are the exception. And from what I can tell, pretty much everything $25+ rots on shelves unless it is certifiably good. |
Pricing for the stupidity of some people. I would never pay that much. |

I did too! I’m fine with the occasional $20+ bottle, but as premium bombers have gone from under $10, to $20 & $30 or more, I’m buying less & less of those and more 4 & 6 packs. Originally posted by footbalm |
Fortunately we have few good bottle shops in DC, so I’m happy to drink my beers four ounces at a time. Still pricey, I guess, especially per ounce. But I can try a lot of beers in one sitting without breaking the bank. |
ISO female Ratebeerians! |
I just did the math on 60,000 bottles of rare at $65 a bottle and I died a little inside. |
