bought a few 750 ml bottles of beer (boulevard smokestack sixth glass and three philosophers) and i was wondering if i had to drink those all at once or if i could recork them if i run out of time or people to help me.

as soon as you open a bottle of beer you allow air in and CO2 out. So recorking wont do the trick unless you want flat beer that is starting to oxidize. 7/4/2009 10:17:37 AM

Yeah, it won’t be the same, but if you stick it in the fridge corked, you could easily wait a day and then finish it. The carbonation will fall a bit, but it will still be drinkable. 7/4/2009 10:21:37 AM

Generally not advisable, but ive had tasting with 1/4 of many bottles left, Ive then drunk them the next day, and some hold up pretty much OK. 7/4/2009 10:22:45 AM

You should rate them when you open the bottle, but 24 hours in the fridge doesn’t kill a beer. 7/4/2009 10:51:58 AM
