I was in Chicago and slightly disappointed with the scene, the best part of Chicagoís beer scene was the drive back to Cleveland and stopping at Three Floyds (I wrote it out)

Pac NW is a true statement, and yeah LA i canít see being great for beer, maybe lumping SoCal is how LA made the list

Out of curiosity, when were you here and where did you happen to go?

The nice thing about Chicago is being able to get around fairly easily. You can hit up quite a few spots without having to drive. That is the only downside to Cleveland - without a car good luck getting from Fat Headís to Great Lakes to Brew Kettle to Lizardville and so on.

Without a car, You go to GLBC, Market Garden, Bier Markt, Nano Brew OR Deagans Kitchen, Melt, and Buckeye

With a car, your possibilities are way more.

Chicago getting to Goose Island Clybourn was not easy, taking the metro from Michigan Ave then nothing much else to do in the area..

I was in Chicago March of 2012 for a weekend, to be fair, my travel there was not beer centered.
