They’ve been hit or miss with me and I stopped trading for them after the Autumn Maple issues. I thought about trading for a BT but reading the BA forums completely turned me off from that. I did like the saison rue though, very tasty. 11/11/2009 10:02:29 AM

Last years Autumn Maple was the only one I’ve had with carbonation issues, everything else has been incredible. They are definitely in my top 5 US brewers. 11/11/2009 10:04:05 AM

They really hit the ground running, and I’m not surprised that they tripped a few times on the way. That being said, they have already made more amazing beers in a year and a half than most breweries have probably ever made. Just as a business as well, they really have their sht together, and I think that that has helped greatly. I am very excited for their Reserve Society next year. I think that they really have the skills to make it a very worthwile club. Who else is doing this? I haven’t really heard anything about it on the site. 11/11/2009 10:10:24 AM

damn. i have also been underwhelmed by them to this point. but i also have yet to get a hold of or even try any of their sought after brews, white oak, black teusday, any pappy, 2 turtle doves, batch 1, etc. but i’m totally open if anybody wants to help me experience the greatness of this bruery! cheers! 11/11/2009 10:12:22 AM

Saison de Lente is the only thing they’ve done that I enjoyed. Their yeast strain is boring to me, and most of their stuff is underattenuated/too yeasty and lacking nuance (If you’re gonna make Belgian-inspired beers, then you’d better hone-in on the magic, i.e. the yeast-driven nuance.).

Who would have ever thunk that a brewery making over-the-top, heavily spiced and often very sloppy beers would be so well-received here on RB?!

Really unimpressed by Autumn Maple last year; sort of tuned out to all The Bruery news...

But, after the BA Autumn Maple and Saison de Lente, I’m paying attention again. Even Papier (ridiculously sweet and heavy) was still pretty tasty.
