Another "new beer" thread

For those interested, Supermarket Liquor in Fort Collins has pretty much all of the Twisted Pine "artisan" 750s marked down from 12.99 to 6.99. I still scrolled past.

Also, cans of the Maui/Jolly Pumpkin collaboration have hit the state. I didn’t even know that this beer existed, so I was pretty happy about that. I figured I would post this just in case there were others like me that didn’t know about it. Be on the look out.

From the press release:

"Sobrehumano Palena ’ole is a red ale brewed with liliko’i and cherries. Maui and JP will both brew this beer; however Maui will use standard fermentation while the JP version is a barrel aged sour. The beers will be packaged both by Maui (in cans) and JP (in bottles)."

I’ve scrolled past the cans for that reason...amber ale with fruit juice, ugghhhh. I suspect the JP bottles will be substantially more interesting, but probably considerably more expensive too. I wish they’d come up with something less novelty-beer-ish, doggone it.

i picked them up and shared them with armin and scott... not too bad, especially for six bucks

Also saw this beer at Total Bev in Thornton. Not exciting in and of itself, but given that Pretty Things brews and bottles in the same place, here’s to hoping that we have a shot at some Pretty Things brews making it to the state.
