I’d have 5-6 a week, you have to take a day or two off so you don’t begin to take its wholesome goodness for granted.
This is coming from a guy finishing one as he writes this.

I think I have a found this unlimited supply at local supermarkets and I have sometimes about 4 a week. I don’t want to overdo it so it still remains special to me.

I would give them away to people I don’t like.

I try to limit myself to one a fortnight, so that I always appreciate just how great it is.
Last night I had a bottle from September 2007 and it was outstanding. I think between 8-12 months is my favourite age for Orval.
I only have 6 left, so I might have to go to France or Belgium in the next few weeks to keep my stock topped up.
In fact I had a great time last night as I started with a Girardin Black Label geuze followed by the Orval. Although both great beers, the Orval won out on a head to head tasting.
I love Orval (but it has taken about 3 years for me even to get to this level of appreciation)

One a day sounds good.
I’m going to take the Orval challenge. I have 20 in my basement right now all purchased within the last 30 days. I’m going to drink one a month for the next 20 months and take notes on each to attempt to find the "sweet spot" for aging.
The most difficult part will be NOT drinking more than one a month however. I think it may be a good idea to buy fresh ones and drink them during this difficult period, but only take notes on the aged ones to keep perspective.
