Feel like I’m drinking in reverse dark to light.

This beer may be a case of to many cooks spoil the broth.

I really want to try that one. Any good in bottle?

Quite enjoying the Calvors - sweet Horlicks and chocolate with freshly buttered diacetyl in the finish. I know others hate it, but personally I quite like the odd bit of diacetyl in th right place.

Somehow it’s not the right sort of beer for Harry Potter though. Need something darker and more bitter. Has anyone ever triefayching beers to films? Might have to give it a go in future.

The Alligator Drool was not good. Poured it down the drain. Too many good beers to drink to waste alcohol tolerance on this. Normally I try to finish each beer, but this is poor. Not as good as my own homebrew.

A beer named Alligator Drool is not good? Colour me shocked!

Gave it 3.2, bit too heavy on the yeast profile.

OK after the shockingly poor Alligator Drool it’s time for a New Belgium 1554 Black Lager

As you all know I do love a good lager.
Oh and SLF has finished in an explosion of Suspect Device and left me in tears, so to lighten things a bit I’ve stuck on an album from my student fresher year that never fails to bring a smile to face, Eight Legged Groove Machine by The Wonderstuff.

Right, I’m in (briefly) with a Calvors Dark Lager from Suffolk. No rocking out here - we’re re-watching the firdt Harry Potter film. Which is still great fun, even if the kids were a bit too young to act then.

Wha’ ja’ fink o’ eet???

The film or the beer? Both a sight better than whatever your impression was meant to be of Ian. Unless it was meant to be a drunk Dutchman?

Once saw SLF, Birmingham ’94/5 - Bruce Foxton on base era.

Anyhow - just had some nice fillet steak and a few glasses of Hardys - Endeavour.

Time to look into the fridge for some Mother Arch (TM) goodness !
