I hate posting whole emails like BA.. but here is the Revolution nittyy gritty:
7/31 - E. Norma Gene: bourbon barrel-aged Hugene 8/7 - Cat Herder: a Golden Ale made with Citra hops, part of the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild’s Replicale project, where everyone makes the same style beer with different hops. Trying to get brewers to work on something together is like... 8/14 - Alderaan: a Russian imperial stout, precursor to Deth’s Tar 8/21 - Thee Destroyer: a Double India Pale Ale full of Citra hops 8/28 - What The: our version of a traditional German Helles 9/4 - Oktoberfest: our fall seasonal brew returns to the brewpub and tap room

Sign up for the newsletter on the website, more detail and more timely, imo.

Probably the most excited I’ve been seeing a Rev newsletter in awhile. Boy Gene and Deth’s Tar FTW.

Been a little dead around these parts. Goose Island’s new Oktoberfest is seeing release currently in 6 packs. I made a new entry for this to eliminate confusion.. it also appears to have some different stats. We can always roll these beers together later. Along with that Harvest Ale should be coming along as well. Several new beers @ Goose Clybourn which I added yesterday. New batches of Citra from Pipeworks are lingering a little bit plus some other new beers like that Sugar Yeast Dates Magick collab with Cleetus Friedman. New Black IPA and Buckledown collab @ Haymarket. We’ve got Oak Park Microbrew Review coming up on saturday. Last I checked, tickets were still available here: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/357885 You’ll be able to try ALL the 2013 ReplicAle versions at the fest (Which I believe the theme is Blonde Ales with all different single hop iterations)
