Hey guys. I will be flying down to Atlanta, GA at the end of June and helping a buddy move to Tampa, FL. I know I have to stop at Cigar City in Tampa, but other than that I have no clue where to stop and drink/buy bottles. I will be in Atlanta for two days then drive to Tampa and be there for two days. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

There are two of the top rated RB places in Atlanta.

You should stop by Peg’s in Gulfport and 7venth Sun up near Clearwater.

In Atlanta, make sure to hit Brickstore Pub and the Porter. Both awesome beer bars. For bottles, hit the Green’s on Ponce.

If you have a chance to stop in Tallahassee, let me know (not sure what route you’re taking). I work at the best beer store and bar in town - Liquor Loft/Proof, and I’d be happy to show you around.

In Tampa, make sure to hit Peg’s and Cigar City. For bottles, the best places I’ve found (including convenience factors a bit) are the Total Wine and Whole Foods right next to Cigar City.

Cheers and safe travels!

If you are anywhere near Athens, check out Five Point Bottle Shop.

Where in Tampa are you staying? Your best bet for bottles are Total Wine/Whole Foods and, they’re in the same shopping center within walking distance to Cigar City. For drinking beer, look at the places section for Brass Tap either Wiregrass or Brandon, Mr Dunderbaks, and the Pourhouse. Depending on how far you’re willing to drive, you could do Peg’s or 7venth Sun but each of those will take at least an hour from tampa, and they’re about as far from each other. Shoot, if you’re going to go that far, you could also hit up Willard’s Tap House which is probably my current favorite bar in the Tampa Bay area.

I love to stay in Decatur, theres a Super 8 within walking distance to the Brickstore, you can also easily hit up Leon’s and Twain,s. There is good public transpo the MARTA. You could use MARTA to get to 5 Seasons, the Porter, or anywhere else in ATL.

Yep. I will second what everyone else said, and I will add for food Cajun Cafe in Pinellas Park and Peg’s, as others have said. For bottles, I would say Whole Foods, and if you would go further, I would go to Leukens (if you’re going to 7venth Sun it’s on the way), as they are probably head and shoulders above anyone else in Tampa for bottles (and prices).
