Originally posted by WheatKing You want me to get in bigger troubles than I’m already in, don’t you? ;-) I usually don’t have just one favourite. I liked most of the beers from Powell Street (and I have to re-try the Porter someday). I liked a couple of 33 Acres because they were clean and subtle. I like how Brassneck is trying many different ones, and some of them are very good (including an altbier). I really liked a couple of beers from Bridge Brewing, and they were a kölsch and a stout, not the classic hopbombs, so even more respect. I like the stuff from Four Winds, but I would like to get more of it, and try again; I’d like to visit the brewery and create a full picture , but they are not easy to get to. and in Victoria? we get a few draught ones, but not too many here Anyway, overall it’s impressive how everything is blooming now; there is a lot more to drink than in the very recent past |
Regarding 4 Winds, if you can get to my place, I’ll get you there |
Yeah definitely putting Four Winds on my list of "brewers not to pass over". |

Double Mountain and pFriem takeover at Portland Craft this Wednesday. |
Some bitching mixed with availability, now... |
There’s a bourbon cask version...is that it? |
Why anyone would throw a smoked marzen into a bourbon cask is a whole other question. |
We only have one version on RB, and it’s barrel aged |
