Many British breweries have either stopped sending them out or started charging high prices for them.
What started as a small nice to do has become a major chore for many of them.

I collect labels, and am a member of the Red Fox Chapter of the BCCA, but I only collect labels that are attached to bottles I actually drink. I never understood the point of label collectors who bother 1000s of breweries they’ve never had any products from.

While I don’t collect as lot of labels bottles take up a lot of space and some labels especialy American labels can be hard to remove in good shape, so I can see if you are a collector you would like fresh labels.

I used to collect bottles. I have four boxes of them stored in my attic from the 1980’s. A few of them are no longer in existence such as the Catamount beers and ales from Vermont (pre-Harpoon days). But I moved into a smaller place and I really don’t have anywhere to display them like I used to.

Oh yes, I also have a few coasters from the 80’s, pint glasses, and a few beer trays including one for Knickerbocker.
