Leighton, according to a tweet they sent they’re ready for action at The Lyric.

Whether that means they’re ready for *you* or not remains to be seen. :-D

Andy.

Thanks Andy. I may drop by the Lyric shortly.

On at the Euston Tap is what I assume to be a one-off from Buxton: Axe Rocks. A very nice beer, worth a look if you’re nearby.

Just checked out The Lyric. Good crowd but not stupidly busy, which is nice. Plenty of great beers on tap, though the only really obscure offering would be a new beer from Tiny Rebel - one of their small batch beers. Great ambiance. The place has been put together well, and with what seems like great care.

New Fullers seasonal doing the rounds - Brewers Bragg.

Just added it as a brown ale - would have added as an ESB having sampled it first but at just 3.9% opted for a brown.

All beers are pale ales, you’ve been here long enough to know that by now Colin :)

Several of these beers have been available for a few months around London now in Euston Tap, Sourced Market and others and I was wondering what people thought of them? I was a bit put off with the big clear labels and weird brewery name, but having tried the lagers, I’m pretty impressed.

What do others think?

I think they’re very decent. It looks like my average score for them is around 3.5. All very drinkable and tasty.

Three beers from new brewery The Five Points at the Cock Tavern this evening. Good beers but certainly not putting any pressure on the big hitters of the London brewing scene.
