Or mixed drinks w/ beer if you prefer. Name some of your favorites and recipes.

I will start w/ some easy ones:

Radler: half beer/half lemon soda

Shandy: half beer/half lemonade

Brass monkey: drink about a third of a forty of malt liquor and refill w/ shitty OJ from the convenience store.

You can pour about 10 cl of hard liquor (vodka, pale rum etc) in a Lindemans Apple and it will still be drinkable. That shit gets you seriously boosted.

I’ve had a few good ones around town. Strong porter + fernet and orange. Shandies with yellow chartreuse and hoppy beer.

A popular one here is to add gin to a pre-bottled Radler (particularly Stiegl Grapefruit). It is OK. I used this same technique plus a bit of lime juice to polish of the remainders of some Leinenkugel Summer Shandy that was left over at my house.

Don’t tell anyone I said this because I will deny it but the shandy is a delighfully light happenstance.

Black Velvet is one of my favorites. Guinness with champagne floated on top

1oz Campari, mixed with about 8 oz of an IPA. Lovely & bitter!

A Snakebite can be refreshing; 1/2 pint lager, 1/2 pint cider. Dropping some Pernod & black in livens things up quickly ;)

I like to mix a little bourbon and some vanilla into my stouts and porters. I occasionally throw in a bit of pure maple syrup as well. About a half teaspoon of each for a 12 oz bottle and full teaspoon for a bomber has been about the right balance for me.

Also, a Caipbeerinha. Make a standard Caipirinha and add about an oz or so of a decent IPA. The juicier and more citrus in the IPA the better it seems to work. I like it using Deschutes Fresh Squeezed.

Campari + IPA sounds good. I keep thinking gin and a very juicy, grapefruity IPA would be good but whenever I have a tasty IPA I just can’t bring myself to potentially ruin it.
