ell, since no one knew of suggestions of where to get the good stuff in Florence or Muscle Shoals, what about Birmingham?

Thinking of heading over there today.

Oh and I’m referring to bottles to bring home. I know about J. Clyde. 6/27/2009 11:43:36 AM

I’m looking for ANY beer from Alabama. Grab an extra of whatever you get and I’ll trade you for something pretty fabulous. 6/27/2009 11:53:29 AM

Your best bet is to try a whole foods. There are no bottle shops that I am familiar with in Birmingham.... 6/28/2009 2:29:10 PM

Thanks for this!

Hopefully the guys I’m trading with to get that elusive Bama tick rating will appreciate the "ghetto" growlers I got from there.

I about fell over when they brought those over to me.

Vulcan Beverages is right off the interstate. They have really weird hours so make sure to call ahead. 6/28/2009 7:39:30 PM

You didn’t ask about Mobile, but at Hurricane Brewery they’re just about to put an Imperial IPA on tap. They currently have a cask amber and oatmeal stout that are pretty tasty, and soon they’ll be putting an Imperial IPA on tap. 6/30/2009 4:53:21 PM
