Starting out on here there was three beers I wanted to try more than any others: Founders CBS (tried thanks to the most generous Ratebeerian of them all--StFun), Goose Island Rare and Samuel Adams Utopias.

I could go buy Utopias but its expensive and I don’t know why I want it.

Rare I quit chasing. Just kind of hoping a bottle appears sometime and I get to try it. If not, whatevs :)

Dave for sure. Quite certain that will never happen as there are probably very very few, if any, still in existence.

If you go to GABF Boston Beer serves Utopias at random times.

There are still a couple dozen at the brewery, but that’s it.

(As previously noted) At GABF a number of years ago, Utopias was being samples, but many fest goers did not notice as it was placed on a separate table and even though it was "only" an ounce pour, I stood there and got as many samples as I liked as nobody else was in line for it.

Are you coming to GTMW this year? Every year Sam Adams cracks open several bottles of Utopias and pours them out of pitchers for people in line.

Personally, CBS is still the one for me. And sure, all those other ultra rare lambics, but damn’t, someday CBS, someday.

Kentucky Brunch, Mornin Delight, Assassin, or SR-71. Just any one of them. More than likely it will never happen, but I can always hope. haha.

Rodenbach Alexander would be nice to try eventually.

Most of the time lambic whales aren’t worth it. I’ve rarely had an old lambic worth the cost. throw some grape juice in a 2 year lambic and you’ve got donQ or something that is close enough to not having to spend $2500 bucks

I’d like to do a 30 year Orval Vertical at some point

And try a few 1990s batches of Hair of the Dog beers..ones that were fully carbonated and now fully aged in an insane way.

Original Blind Pig back when it was a barley wine.

maybe try a few of Armand’s father’s Gueuze blends fresh back in the 80s.

Ultimately, trying beers that are historically very significant when they were fresh would be a lot of fun.

I will get to try Utopias eventually, I’m sure. Rare I just don’t think I’ll ever have the ammo to trade for it and if I do, I’d want to drink what I did have.
