Has anybody tried this yet? Does anybody know the liquid yeast equivalent? I picked up some last Saturday at my semi-local homebrew store.
Related info:
I’m looking at making a single-hop Belgian Saison IPA, six gallon batch. Either Super Galena or Belma, since I have an unopened pound of each. I’m leaning toward the Super Galena, because I tried a bunch of the Mikkeller single hop IPAs and really liked that one.
10lbs Weyermann Pilsner
1lb Briess Red Wheat
1lb Sugar (Sucrose)
8oz Weyermann CaraAmber
I could either add the CaraAmber or not.

Just a wild guess, but it sounds like it might be a dry version of the Wyeast French Saison strain. I will be curious to see what the flavor profile is.

I’m tired of T-58. I’m not going to do another Belgian beer before this is available in Denmark :)

I really hope it’s not like 3711. Can’t stand that yeast. Anything close to Dupont would be greatly appreciated.

i bottled my batch last night and im pretty happy with the results, genuine saison flavour, not as peppery as 3711, nice peachy fruitiness, the one thing i will say is this strain does not floc well at all, ill let my bottles condition for 2 weeks then post back also, i put a bigger hoppier saison on the cake from the first batch, OG 1.060, it went on the yeast last night around 8pm and was fermenting away with a nice thick krausen this morning at 6:30, ill post updates about this second batch as well
