Minneapolis might be a no brainer for you, if you and your friend enjoy hanging out with other beer geeks for the weekend and the timing works for you. The 2013 Ratebeer Summer Gathering is taking place there in mid-August.

Youre the second person to recommend Minneapolis, this may be one to seriously consider.

Fort Collins/Longmont/Boulder/Denver Area. Everything is within an hour of each other. New Belgium, Odell, Funkwerks, Crooked Stave, Great Divide, Avery, etc. . . . and those are just the heavy hitters. Plenty more smaller places to be had and great bars/restaurants.

I think youd love Minneapolis. Portland is also on my very short list of places to go.

A beer tour of Prague would top my list of places to visit. Gotta get me some Plotmavy. A trip to Finland to get some real Sahti would be a close second. And third a trip to Ecuador to get some real Chicha is a dream.
