Ok, I am going to start a thread for the bottle list of RBJG. |
Will bring a 2012 and 2013 chateau kamiya sakura beer and possibly a 2012 and 2013 Shiga Kogen Impy Stout |
FYI, with Sakura we will likely be at the brewery to drink it on draft. 2012 would be awesome to compare at the brewery - I am sure/hope the brewer would be fine with us pouring that beer and then trying the 2013 on draft. |
Do you know if those Moku Moku will be available in Tokyo somewhere, or will you have to mail order them? I’d be interested in getting a bottle of each for myself... |
*will keep... |
Moku Moku is like the most unavailable beer anywhere. Everything will be mail order. What I am thinking now is get 6 bottle each of the Barley Wine and Smoke, and three bottles of Pilsner and Urara. What ever is not used in the tasting, I am sure others will want to buy. If not, it is a great present for me to give people. |
Any beer which might not be available at their restaurants (I plan to do the new one in Osaka) would be awesome. In fact, to simplify things, keep me one of each you will order. I might need some beer when I get to Kanazawa. ;) |
Moku Moku’s standards are Pilsner, Amber and Urara, though even at their restaurant in Nagoya, only the Pilsner was on tap and the other two beers in bottles. The restaurants are all about VERY GOOD food and not about beer. I will get ample beer from them. Left overs are fine by me, it is great beer. |
Ok, thanks for the info. I’ll definitely help out with the leftovers then. :) |
Ive been hearing very good things about the Nightmare Rye IPA this year. Does anyone think it will hold up very well for three months? If so, want to pick up a couple bottles? |
OK, I just sent out emails to some people who signed up for RBJG to confirm they are coming - mainly people from overseas. I had a look today and it seems Moku Moku has a Chocolate Stout out for Valentines in addition to the Smoke Ale and the Barley Wine. I definitely think it is time to pull the trigger. I might do another order in March as new seasonals will be out at that time. |
