was thinking about grilling up some brats this weekend.

Any suggestions on what beer or style of beer would go well?

Also, any advice on the brats themselves? I’m not exactly an connoisseur of bratwurst.

Here in Texas it was 103 today so park the car in the sun and leave the brats in there to cook. Hate it when they call CPS. Why did I let them get cell phones? 6/19/2008 12:00:55 AM

Indeed brat and dark lager of various kinds of the ideal partner.
Schwarz, dunkel, bock, vienna, marzen.

I like to parboil the brats in the beer first, then grill to caramelize the outside.

This is giving me inspiration, I think I might make some beer bread with Celebrator this weekend, parboil some brats in Celebrator, and drink some Celebrator, with my Celebrator-brats on Celebrator-bread.

Get a nice metal/tin pan on the burner of your grill. Cook the brats in some beer, onions and peppers if you like.
Nice Great Lakes Dortmunder or Bear Republic Racer 5 to drink.
Ummm, now I want to do the same.cheers!
