Looks like Brighton is the place to be at the moment and the Evening Star has some competition at last......

Craft Beer Co. Brighton?
The Spotted Dog?
My Brewery Tap bar? http://www.freeindex.co.uk/job(head-chef)_26140.htm

Exciting times. Glad I’m only 30-40 minutes away on a train!

I’d say once all these places are open (a couple months?) we should have a little RBUK gathering in Brighton.

Summer. Those bars. Dark Star / Harveys visits. A VW camper van with KeyKegs. BBQ on the beach. RBUK Summer Gathering. You know you want it

The Craft Beer Co Brighton and The Spotted Dog are one and the same. The Brewery Tap place opens at the end of this month I understand. Looks life my week at conference in Brighton in May will be the beerieswt yet.

Well following the advice of Simon, I think that our VW campervan (VW California, not old classic version) may be heading south sometime this summer. We’ve discussed Brighton a few times lately and have stopped at the Sheepcote Valley site near the racecourse in the past. Quite excited by that beery news.

Those Craft Beer Co boys must move really fast. I was at the Spotted Dog last week and Emma was distraught because she’d just heard it was closing. Or, at least, the then current operators (who also run the Snowdrop in Lewes) couldn’t make the deal with Greene King work to their satisfaction and were pulling out.

Fin, you would be pleased to know that Brighton has excellent vinyl record shops too! Need to go back.

Wow, this is great news. I have a week down there at the end of May, ostensibly to walk the South Downs Way and 1066 Country Walk, but leaving the evenings free for mostly Brighton then Battle, if I’m not too done in. These look like must visits. We are at the Sheepcote Valley site before moving on to the Battle site.

I thought this too, but to quote thecraftbeerco on twitter "We can confirm that the wonderful ’Spotted Dog’ will not be the location of our venue in Brighton"

This is a bit conflicting. I’ll tweet Emma and see what she says.
