Mmmmhhh might have to consult the calendar and check with Loz, only worry is, that would make it three beer festivals in three weekends with Reading and Banbury preceding, also that’s the Spring B/H w/e so might have other plans but thanks for posting details Hughie.

I should be there one of the days. I have a friend who lives near Cambridge that I am hoping to catch up with.

I’ve heard the Cambridge Beer Fest is a really good ’un from people who went to uni there - draws a massive crowd and not just usual suspects. I have vague plans to go with some pals but it’ll be hot on the heels of this London German fest I’ve been on about so might be resting my liver...

I’ll probably be there friday or saturday. By some very strange coincidence I just booked tickets to visit my brother in Cambridge (who is currently studying there) that weekend... And I never heard about the festival until today :)

I have been several times. I like it. If the weather is good it’s a great day out in a nice location with some good food stalls. The beer list has never been great, and both beer and scoops tend to be thin on the ground by the Saturday, but Cambridge itself is a great place to visit with some decent pubs to explore.
As it’s the original modern beer festival and the blueprint for every beer festival since, it certainly has to be a must visit for any beer geek. It’s been running since August 1974, having only missed one year in that time, and is claimed to be the third largest after GBBF and Peterborough in terms of visitors. Reading is much bigger in terms of beers - Cambridge has less than 200 beers.
